Well, that's more sweet, so delicate
It used to be this dying breed
Well I've got a bad feeling about this
I've got a bad feeling about this

You kept still until the long drive home
You slept safe and close to the window...
Well, I've got a bad feeling about this
I've got a bad feeling about...

You used to say you'll have to go (I could go all night)
Well say you'll have to go (I could go all...)
To hell with you and all your friends
To hell with you and all your friends, it's on

Well that's more sure in porcelain
You're skin and bones, I'm a nervous wreck

See your tattoos in our book 'Body Art Three' [Wednesday,
    September 2nd, 2009]

    tropicel
Bizarre magazine is currently putting together their annual 'Body Art Three' book and is looking for people who would like to submit images of their tattoos to fill up it's pages!

If you're interested then all we need is a photo of the tattoo, a head shot and the answers to just a few questions...

    Name...
    From...
    Who did it?
    What is it?
    Why did you choose it?
What response do you get from people?
    What do your family think?
How do you feel about it now?
Would you change or add anything?
Have you got any more planned for the future, if so, what?
What do you like about having it?

We’re looking for all types of tattoo, but are particularly interested in tattoos of girls; skulls; animals; horror; writing/script; cartoons; music and old school.

If you're interested then please email all this info to BodyArtThree@dennis.co.uk.

You can send as many pics as you like, but these must be good quality images (original files taken with a digital camera, or high resolution scans) and must not exceed 8MB per email, or we won't be able to receive them! :(

Hope to hear from all of you soon! Thanks!

    Hi there.
Does anyone know of any white tattoo inks which do not contain titanium, to which I am allergic.
Please also let me know if you think this is a ridiculous question, so I can cease to live in hope. :P
    Thanks,

I found these really cool lamps made out of tattoo stencil paper. The lady who makes them is named Adrienne. She includes a short bio for each artist who sends her their stencils. You can find her work here

I have a couple of questions.

I have 2 tattoos (one on my ankle/leg and the other on my wrist) and I got both this September. One is not complete yet. Unfortunately I probably can't complete it till maybe the spring (March?) due to money issues at the moment. I may get some money for Christmas but then I wouldn't be able to go in the hot tub during our mini-trip vacation up to Maine we take around December-February. I was told to not go in any clorine for 3-6 months after the I got the tattoo. I was told be gentle and nice with my skin.

Here is what I WANT to do with my ankle/leg. That would be the best place to start right?
It is my favorite quote (from the book 'Hope for the Flowers') wrapped around my leg. I have a butterfly above the quote now. Originally I wanted a kinda yellow butterfly... now after seeing a few real butterflies like the one on my leg I change my mind. I want to darken the yellowish orange to a more orange orange . Next, I'm going to put a line of grass wrapping all around my leg under the quote. At first I was just going to connect the butterfly to the quote with smoke or something... then I changed it to vines... and then this is where this idea came alive. I want to put daises coming up from the grass past the quote up to the butterfly. Two of them.

I had been debating back and forth whether or not to put another butterfly on the other side of the quote on the bottom near my gap between lines. Now I decided why not bring the quote to LIFE? On the grass/ground I want a caterpillar there. If I'm going to put grass why put a butterfly on the ground? I looked up the caterpillar that turns into the butterfly I have and its fun looking! AND I won't lose the yellow sorta color I wanted since it has yellow in it. I want it kinda sitting its front half of its body upward. By the caterpillar I was thinking of putting a daisy that has not yet BLOOMED yet. That fits the quote well since the caterpillar is waiting to turn into a butterfly.

    KAY now for the questions:

1.) Can I make the butterfly darker in color? I assume it is possible right? I mean usually the problem is making something LIGHTER... because you can't...

2.) How big should the grass be? a centimeter? and inch? 1/2 inch? kinda want opinions. Should I do blades or will they just mush together over time?

3.) Daises are white.... you can do white coloring right? What should I shade it with? Grey? Blue? Something else?

4.) What does a blooming daisy look like? I've been trying to get a picture but I'm failing? ew. I can probably find one eventually...

5.) The stem of the daises and the quote.... I shouldn't like make them HIT right? Would that look bad? Should I have like a mini gap?? like.... grass-stem quote stem-butterfly-flower .... did that make sense? see how I put a gap between the quote...

    That is it. Thanks!

I have pictures after the cut. I'm sorry for how GROSS my leg looks. I was covered in flea bites at the time (now they are cleared up...yay) My tattoo kinda faded a bit =[ But I think it just healed weird... compared to my wrist its almost like it healed perfect! I need both retouched and they should be great.

If I have inside me the stuff to make cocoons- Maybe the stuff of butterflies is there tooCollapse )

My name is Melissa and I'm new to this community.  I wanted to share some of my husband's tattoo work because he's seeking feedback.  We both tattoo, but this is one of his pieces.  Aaron tattooed this skull and candle on a girl from the Austin tattoo convention last month.  I like the veins in the skull and how the dotted lines allude a mohawk.  I hear there's another convention coming up in Dallas.   Anyone know anything about it?  From what I hear, all the booths are taken...

I did this tattoo today on my friend James. He wanted the Libra constellation on his torso. I tried placing it on him to avoid hitting any bones. I also tried to keep as close to the natural direction of it placed in the sky (north being at the top). I used a round 5 liner and a massage table. It was interesting tattooing and learning how the skin reacts on different spaces of the ribcage and torso- not an easy spot to tattoo (or get tattooed).

My artist - my boyfriend [Thursday,

    friendofyours
Hey guys. I'm Mallory, and I'm from Midland/St. Catharines, Ontario. Right now I'm living in Wasaga Beach for the summer with my boyfriend, 3 other tattoo artists, and a piercer. My boyfriend has been tattooing for a couple of years, and is already one of the best in the area. If anyone is going to be in Wasaga Beach between now and September, and would like to get a tattoo, I recommend that you see MATT at PERFECT IMAGE (there are 2 shops there, he works at the beach front one.) If you are not going to be in the beach before the end of September, he will be working at the PERFECT IMAGE in London (Ontario) later in the fall (October/November.)

I did not have any tattoos before I met Matt, and now I have 2 beautiful ones (the second is not quite finished.) Of course I have pictures!Collapse )

    Help [Saturday,
    February 4th, 2006]

    goldink
I got this tattoo two weeks ago, and first it developed deep scabbing. The scab flaked off about a week ago, and now it is really itchy, bumpy, and the skin feels hot and raised. I'm about an hour away from the artist, so I was hoping one of you would know what's wrong. Here's a close-up of the tattoo. By the way, it's an ampersand.

    An Introduction (cross posted) [Monday,

    Ink and ScarCollapse )

    I am a Husband. A Father. A New Creation.

I am rough around the edges and offer no apologies for being the person that I am. I know where I stand and what I believe, not because it is what I have had shoveled down my throat, but because it is a place and a set of beliefs tried by Fire.

I am a Christian of Faith. I believe and follow my path through Faith and the Study of the Word. I found my Faith during a time when I walked the roads of Pagan rites, rituals, and beliefs. I respect the Faith (or lack thereof) of all and expect the same courtesy. If challenged, I guarantee that when all is said and done you will either respect me or you will hate me.

I am enthralled with philosophy, theology, mythology, psychology, the human condition, and such. I am especially intrigued by symbolism, mythologems, and the stories the Human race has been telling itself for centuries.

I tell my stories and mark my personal myths through ink and skin. This sacred art helps to express the Metaphors that words cannot. These markings on my flesh and all that I shall ever receive serve to chronicle my journey, point to my values and beliefs, and serve to remind me that this journey is for only a moment in time.

I have only one tattoo at the moment, and my peircings are long since healed. But as of recent major turning points in my life have occured and I have three tattoo designs that will soon mark these moments so that I will never forget them. They will be reminders of how far I have come, and they will be reminders that can never be taken from me.

I look at body modification in the light of the metaphorical journey each of us take and because of this many I my post may be filled with philosophical and metaphorical undertones. I apologize, but to me the journey is Sacred and this is how I choose to focus on it.

I look forward to much interaction with all of you.
